Junior southpaw pitcher David Hike of the Massachusetts Maritime Academy baseball team was named to the All-MASCAC second team. He posted a 4-5 record, with 40 strikeouts in 54 2/3 inning pitched and a 4.12 ERA, including an 8-0, complete-game one-hitter over Framingham State to give Coach Bob Corradi coaching victory No. 500.

MMA outfielder Nick Montalto, a freshman from South Yarmouth, finished with a .296 batting average and swiped 11 bases in 12 attempts. His first career homer, a two-run shot, gave MMA the winning margin in Corradi's 500th career win.

Sophomore Rory O'Donnell of the Buccaneers' outdoor track & field team placed third in the men's triple jump at the MASCAC Championships, with a mark of 13.07 meters. The Bucs' Brian Reske finished fifth in the 1,500 meters, posting a time of 4:20.27, while sophomore Meredith Hall scored in the javelin for the MMA women, finishing sixth with a mark of 29.22 meters.

Freshman Dennis Doherty (West Falmouth) of the men's soccer team started three games on defense last fall. The former Bishop Stang standout was the only local player on the Bucs' roster.
