Buccaneer Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Makes Donation To Bourne Food Pantry

Members of the Buccaneer Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, along with Massachusetts Maritime Director of Athletics Bob Corradi, visited the Bourne Food Pantry on Tuesday afternoon to donate a large quantity of canned and boxed goods that were raised during the group’s food drive at the November 3rd Cranberry Bowl football game with Bridgewater State.

SAAC President 2/C Chris Gallagher (Sandwich, Mass.) and SAAC Vice President 2/C Asa Mills (Westport, Mass.) represented Buccaneer student-athletes in making the donation to the Bourne Food Pantry to help area families in need in advance of the holiday season.

“I’m proud of our SAAC and all of our student-athletes for continuing to lead by example in the community and in competition,” Corradi says of the food drive.  “I know that the Buccaneer athletic community joins me in thanking everyone for their generous contributions that will truly make a difference during this holiday season.”

The Massachusetts Maritime Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will be participating in other community ventures during the holiday season and throughout the academic year, including continued participation in the NCAA Division III’s on-going partnership with Special Olympics.
