Members of the Massachusetts Maritime Academy crew team took part in the Quinsigamond Snake Regatta Sunday, October 12.
Coxswain Salome Maldonado, stroke Taylor Peterson (Falmouth Mass.), third seat Chris Duarte (Seekonk, Mass.), second seat Eric Fant (Sutton, Mass.) and bowman Rob Seeley (Stoughton, Mass.) rowed to a seventh place finish in a field of 11.
In the women's open four it was coxswain Michelle Pare (Holyoke, Mass.), stroke Shauna Erickson-Conran (Waltham, Mass.), third seat Candace Lindstrand (Winterville, N.C.), second seat Brittney Goggin (Wolfeboro, N.H.) and bowman Amanda Hurley rowed to a 12th place finish in a field of 15 competing schools.
Bowdoin won the men's competition, with WPI taking the women's open four.
In the novice "A Boat" for the Buccaneers were coxswain William Dunlop (Ipswich, Mass.), stroke Jason Ellershaw (Chester, Mass.), third seat Conor Benoit (Eastham, Mass.), second seat Adam Geoffroy (Belchertown, Mass.) and bowman Glenn Powell (Southbury, Conn.). The novice "B Boat" was rowed by cowswain Rebecca Edgerly (Leominster, Mass.), stroke Andres Jovane-Flynn (Panama City, Panama), third seat Sean O'Connor (Seekonk, Mass.), second seat Nathaniel Durbin (Hingham, Mass.) and bowman Kyle Chambers (Pembroke,Mass.).
