The team Most Valuable Player as a freshman for the Dennis-Yarmouth Dolphins, Montalto was both a Cape & Islands and Atlantic Coast League all-star for the final three season of his high school career. In his senior season he was selected to the All Eastern Mass First Team and was All-Scholastic in baseball. In his spare time he works coaching youth football and plans to become a member of the United States Coast Guard.
