A veteran of four seasons of football at Countryside High School, Matt was a team captain his senior year. As a sophomore he was chosen the Rookie of the Year with 75 tackles. The next year he won the Heart & Hustle Award making 80 solo tackles. His senior year Matt was the team's defensive MVP and voted All-County with 95 solo tackles. In 2007 with the Buccaneers he played in eight games, recording 8.5 tackles and two fumble recoveries. He enjoys working out, being with friends, especially his girlfriend and just relaxing. His favorite professional sports team is the Tampa Bay Rays.
