Bucs Sail 13th at Admiral Aylmer Trophy

The Massachusetts Maritime Academy sailing team placed 13th Sunday in the Admiral Aylmer's Trophy race.

In cold conditions with a steady 12-15 knot wind from the northeast, teams from 17 schools competed on the Gold Cup course.

George Flieschflesher and Sam Sherwood sailed 12th in the A Division, with Mike Ustach and Ali Dombrowski crossing the finish line in 14th in the B Division race.

Boston College took home first place in the event

The MMA Sailors finished 11th Saturday in the New England Dinghy Tournament at Salve Regina. A light breeze out of the north grew to 8-10 knots before racing got underway. Sunday 12 more races were sailed in 15-20 knot conditions.

Phil Johnson and Parker Pouser sailed to a 13th place finish in the A Division race followed by James Sjolund and Tom Aldrich, who crossed the line in 10th.
