Men Finish 12th at Jim Sheehan Memorial

Freshman Rory O'Donnell (Somerset) finished third (41-03.75) in the triple jump and tied for sixth in the high jump (5-07.25) to pace the Buccaneers at Saturday's Jim Sheehan Memorial Track & Field Meet at Fitchburg State. The MMA men finished 12th in a field of 18.

Freshman Joe Page (Quincy) had a throw of 37-06.75 feet in the shot put for 11th place and both the men's relay teams finished in the top five.

Senior Peter Tomdio (Douala, Cameroon) place eighth (52.65) in the 400 meter and recorded a 23rd place finished in the 200 meter at 24.39. Freshman Anthony Venterosa (Stoughton) ran 15th in the 400 at 54.34 seconds followed closely by sophomore teammate Cassander Gilmore (Rochester) who crossed the line in 16th in a time of 54.59.

Freshman Joseph Choinere (Mansfield) ran 19th in the 100 meter dash posting a time of 12.23. Junior Howard Hayes (Westport, CT) was 23rd at 12.31 seconds. Choinere also recorded a 20th place finish in the 200 with a mark of 24.27 seconds.

Freshman Meredith Hall (Duxbury) finished sixth in the javelin with a toss of 85-02 and senior Danielle MacPhee (Norton) took eighth in the long jump at 13-08.25 for the Lady Bucs who placed 16th.
