Perhaps the most appropriate introduction for the 2010 Massachusetts Maritime volleyball season would be to quote The Who’s lyric from the song “Won’t Get Fooled Again": "Meet the new boss, same as the old boss"….The boss in question in this case is Chris Ratches, who returns to the Academy for her second stint as the Buccaneers' head coach and welcomes back six letterwinners as well as a solid crop of talented newcomers to the fold

Christine Ratches, who was a two-sport standout at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy in the early 90’s and also served as the school’s Head Volleyball Coach for six seasons, has returned to that same position at her alma mater. Ratches’ appointment was announced today by Bob Corradi, Massachusetts Maritime’s Director of Athletics
