BRIDGEWATER, Mass. --  The Massachusetts Maritime volleyball team closed out its 2009 campaign on Saturday afternoon by dropping a pair of 3-0 non-league decisions to Framingham State and host Bridgewater State in second round play of the Bridgewater State Halloween Classic at the Tinsley Center.

Junior Christine Egbert (Meadowbrook, Pa.) earned a spot on the all-tournament team for the Buccaneers (0-26), as she notched 16 digs in the two contests on Saturday and recorded 38 total digs in the four matches in the tournament.

Freshman Suzanne Marino (Kings Park, N.Y.) registered five kills in the setbacks for Massachusetts Maritime, which fell to the Rams (14-15) in the opener by game scores of 25-6, 25-13 and 25-10 and to the host Bears (10-19) in the nightcap by game scores of 25-11, 25-8 and 25-10).  Junior Victoria Presutti (Marshfield, Mass.) and sophomore Samantha Foley (Forestdale, Mass.) posted four kills as well for the Buccaneers, who also received three kills from freshman Alex Burgess-Chrost (Leominster, Mass.) and 12 set assists from freshman Leanne Talbot (Norton, Mass.).
