BUZZARDS BAY, Mass. --  Freshman Bailey Sarber (Westerly, R.I.) notched 15 kills and 10 digs to lead WPI to a pair of 3-0 non-league college volleyball victories over host Massachusetts Maritime and Mitchell in a tri-match played Saturday afternoon at the Clean Harbors Athletic Center.

Sarber notched 13 kills and seven digs for the Engineers (17-3) in the win over Mitchell (2-4), which came by game scores of 25-15, 25-13 and 25-7, as fellow freshman Alex Rangel (Weston, Fla.) added 16 set assists.  Sophomore Nicole D'Angelo (Barrington, R.I.) posted eight kills in WPI's opening victory over the host Buccaneers (0-12), which came by game scores of 25-7, 25-5 and 25-5.

Junior Victoria Presutti (Marshfield, Mass.) notched five kills and five digs on the day for Massachusetts Maritime, which also received three kills each from sophomore Samantha Foley (Forestdale, Mass.) and freshman Suzanne Marino (Kings Park, N.Y.) as well as five digs from freshman Laura Basile (Cambridge, Mass.).  The Buccaneers dropped the final contest of the afternoon to Mitchell by game scores of 25-12, 25-15 and 25-20.

Massachusetts Maritime hosts Westfield State in a MASCAC outing on Monday evening at the Clean Harbors Athletic Center that begins at 6:00 p.m., while WPI hosts Smith in a NEWMAC match on Tuesday evening in Worcester, Mass. beginning at 7:00 p.m.  Mitchell travels to New Haven, Conn. on Wednesday evening to square off with Albertus Magnus in a non-league outing that begins at 7:00 p.m.
