Men's Rowing Finishes Second in Novice 8; 14th in Collegiate 8

SHREWSBURY, Mass -- The Buccaneers men's rowing team competed at the Head of the Snake Regatta on ae Quinsigamond in Shrewsbury. Competing in two different men's events, the Bucs finished second and seventh in the Novice 8's race and 14th and 23rd in the Collegiate 8's event.

In the Novic 8's race, the Buccaneers A shell finished in second place behind UMass Amherst with a time of 16:55.115. The Bucs B boat came in seventh place behind UMass' B boat with a final time of 23:47.743. The A boat beat out WPI by 13 seconds to take home the silver in the race.

The Bucs A boat in the Collegiate 8's race finished in 14th place, one second behind Middlebury with a time of 15:13.616. They were less than three second behind URI's A boat. The Bucs B boat finished in 23rd in the field of 24 boats beating out Boston College's C shell by 10 seconds.
