Woods Named MASCAC Defensive Rookie of the Year

WESTFIELD, Mass -- The Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletics Conference (MASCAC) announced its 2025 football postseason awards on Tuesday afternoon and Buccaneer freshman defensive back Jorden Woods claimed the conference Defensive Rookie of the Year.

Woods played in all 10 games for Maritime in his first-year campaign. He made 39 tackles on the season, with 31 of them being of the solo variety. He had two games in which he recorded six tackles, all solo. He made his first-career interception against Framingham State in a game the Buccaneers won 14-12 over the MASCAC Champions. He also broke up three passes on the season. 

Jorden is a native of Cocoa, Florida, and a Marine Engineering major at the Academy.
