WESTFIELD, Mass -- Buccaneers men's soccer senior defender Ethan Somers was selected to the 2024 All-MASCAC Second Team as announced by the conference on Wednesday afternoon.

Somers was an integral part of the Buccaneers defense for the last four seasons and it was no different this season as his toughness, aggression and sound play in the backline for the Buccaneers kept them in games night after night. He played a large part in helping the Buccaneers in their comeback against Worcester State in which the teams drew 3-3 helping the Bucs to the MASCAC playoffs. He recorded one assist in 2024 which came in the team's season opening win over Regis College. The assist marked the first offensive point of his career.

Somers played in 59 games in his career with 54 starts and was a pat of two conference playoff teams in 2021 and 2024.
