NEW LONDON, Conn -- Friday and Saturday, seven Buccaneers took part in the New England Division III Track and Field Championships at the Coast Guard Academy. Continuing his dominance in the javelin, Liam Higgins finished third amongst all New England javelin throwers with a throw of 63.36 meters.

Also in the javelin throw, Tyler Fountain finished 17th with a best throw of 52.66 meters. 

In the high jump, Joey Tully finished sixth with a best jump of 1.95 meters. 

Higgins competed in the shot put event as well, finishing 20th overall with a throw of 12.81 meters. 

The Bucs 4x800-meter relay team of William Brown , Cole Guiliani, Collin Fine, and Jackson Holschuh finished 22nd with a time of 8:42.02.
