Men's Lax Keeps Admiral's Cup on Taylor's Points with win over Mariners
BUZZARDS BAY, Mass -- Men's Lacrosse hosted Maine Maritime in the Annual Admiral's Cup game on Saturday morning in Buzzards Bay. The Buccaneers looking to stay undefeated on the season took it to the Mariners tossing up 24 goals and winning the game 24-11.

- Freshmen James Sullivan and Chilton Cabot both had five goals in the win. Ryan McDonough added four more goals.

How It Happened
The Buccaneers scored the first four goals of the game with the first coming from Cabot 41 seconds into the game. Kane scored the second on a power play and Cabot followed that up with his second and McIntire scored his first at 9:33. After five and a half minutes, the Bucs led the Mariners, 4-0. Maine got two goals from Lappin before the quarter expired and at the end of one, the Buccaneers led, 4-2.
In the second quarter, McIntire scored 15 seconds into the period to make it 5-2. Kane scored his second at 11:31 to make it 6-2. Maine scored one goal in the quarter at 8:12 from Marcil to pull back within three, 6-3. The Bucs closed out the half with five unanswered goals from Barrett, and two each from McDonough and Sullivan. Mass. Maritime led at the half, 11-3.
The third quarter saw 12 goals, seven from the Bucs, and five from the Mariners. Maine scored first in the second half 27 seconds in from Reddington. The team's traded goals for the first half of the third quarter and Maine scored back to back at 10:14 and 8:58 to get within six goals, 13-7. in the final 6:31 of the third, the Bucs outscored the Mariner 5-1 and led 18-8 at the end of three quarters.
In the fourth quarter, there were nine goals scored, six from the Buccaneers and three by the Mariners. The Bucs scored the first five of the quarter to go up 23-8. Then, Marcil scored at 5:20 and the Bucs followed that up with their 24th goal from Rosher at 4:29. Maine scored the last two goals of the game at 3:26 and 35 seconds getting in to double digits. Keller and the Bucs wasted the rest of the clock and claimed the Admiral's Cup once again by a final of 24-11 over the Mariners.

Maritime is on the road for their next game against Salve Regina on Wednesday, March 19th in Rhode Island. Faceoff is set for 6pm.
