Dickinson Scores Seven in Bucs Win over Anna Maria
PAXTON, Mass -- Women's lacrosse went on the road Tuesday evening to take on Anna Maria. After dropping their last three games, the Bucs turned it around against the AMCAST with a 17-5 win.

How It Happened
Dickinson scored the first two goals of the game, both in the first minute of play, to give Maritime a 2-0 lead early. Ijawet scored for the AMCATS at 9:52 to cut the Bucs lead to one goal, 2-1. The Bucs controlled the scoring for the remainder of the first quarter with three more goals, one from Durgin, one from Deveau, and another from Dickinson. Maritime led, 5-1, at the end of one quarter of play.
In the second, Dickinson scored the first two goals of the quarter again, her fourth and fifth of the night, to give the Bucs a six-goal, 7-1, advantage. Hinds then scored her first at 10:27 and the Bucs led 8-1. The AMCATS sprinkled in a goal at 8:01 from Michaud to cut the deficit to six again. In the last five and a half minutes of the half, the Bucs scored four more times. Hinds, Deveau, Deschamps, and Durgin all netted goals to give the Buccaneers a 10-goal, 12-2 lead at the half.
Anna Maria opened the second half with back-to-back goals to cut the Buccaneers lead to eight goals, 12-4. Those were the only two goals the AMCATS got in the third and the Buccaneers scored three of their own. Durgin, Deschamps, and Dickinson all scored, Dickinson with one second left in the quarter, and Maritime led 15-4 heading to the fourth quarter.
In the fourth, Dickinson scored first, her seventh of the game, at 13:41 to make it a 16-4 score. Michaud scored her third at 8:25 to close out the scoring for the AMCATS. Deschamps scored the final goal of the night at 1:21 of the fourth and the Buccaneers took a 17-5 win back to Buzzards Bay.
