Softball Takes Down Badgers for Third Win
NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- After a day of rainouts on Friday, the Bucs were back on the diamond on Saturday morning against VTSU Johnson for the third time in Myrtle Beach. Maritime jumped out to an early 9-0 commanding lead after two innings. They went on to win the game, 16-5, to move to 3-0 on the season.

How It Happened
Maritime struck early and often in their five-inning win, getting three runs across in the first thanks to a Booker single, a wild pitch, and an Abbey Doherty groundout that scored Booker.
In the top of the second, the Bucs scored six more times to make the score 9-0. Booker knocked in her second run of the game, Burton stole home, Booker scored on a wild pitch, with Patane coming across on an error, and Natalie Gale bunted in Holler.
After a scoreless third inning, the Buccaneers scored nine in the top of the fourth inning to take a 16-0 lead. In the bottom of the frame, Johnson got five runs back on two bases-loaded walks, a bunt single, and a two-RBI single from Tembreull.
The Bucs didn't score in the top of the fifth and McKnight shut down the Badgers in the bottom of the fifth to help the Buccaneers earn the 16-5 run-rule win.
