The 2013 Peter Ryan Memorial Triathlon brought out 15 competitors (11 cadets and four faculty members) in both individual and team competition on Tuesday afternoon, as this year’s event, which is comprised of a 500 meter swim in the Clean Harbors Athletic Center pool, a 12 mile bike ride to the Sagamore Bridge and back and a three mile run along Cape Cod Canal, was sponsored by the Massachusetts Maritime Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

The top male competitor in this year’s Ryan Triathlon was 2/c Bryan Beresford, who posted a time of 1:09.11 in the event.  Commander Linda Letourneau notched the top female performance with an overall time of 1:23.30, while the top team was comprised of 2/c Jenelle Piche and 3/c Peter Markarian, who combined for a time of 1:26.38.
