New Shell To Be Named For Alumnus John A. Leary

The newest addition to the fleet of Vespoli racing shells supporting the MMA varsity rowing program will be named for MMA alumnus John A. Leary '06 who passed away this winter after a hard-fought battle with GIST. The $15,000 men's-four will be christened.  Enjoy the ride John Leary '06. The name truly captures John's spirit and outlook on life, responded John's uncle, Tom McGauley, when informed of the team's decision.

The team has also launched a fundraising effort for the Christopher Leary Scholarship fund.

The christening is planned for Wednesday May 23 at 2:00 pm at the MMA boathouse on Herring Pond.
