Nine Buccaneers Earn Spots On 2008-09 New England Football Conference All-Academic Team


 

Buzzards Bay, Mass. --  Nine members of the Massachusetts Maritime football team have been recognized for their work in the classroom by earning spots on the 2008-09 New England Football Conference All-Academic Team.

To qualify for selection to the squad, a student-athlete must have completed three semesters of matriculation while maintaining a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.00 on a 4.0 scale.

The following members of Head Coach Jeremy Cameron's Buccaneer squad were named to this year's NEFC All-Academic Team:

Massachusetts Maritime opens the 2009 gridiron campaign on Thursday, September 3rd by hosting New York Maritime in the Third Annual Chowder Bowl contest at Commander Ellis Field beginning at 7:00 p.m. EDT.
