The Buccaneers sailing team took to the water October 4-5 for the George Warren Smith Trophy Regatta held at M.I.T. Massachusetts Maritime finished 25th over the two-day event in a field of 27 teams. Tufts University was the regatta winner claiming the Smith Trophy.

Northwest breezes on Saturday of 12-15 knots faded to 8-10 knots as the race progressed. Sunday brought a very light southwest breeze.

MMA sailors Graham Philpot and Julia Shebroe sailed to a 23rd place finish in the A Division race with Robert Pierce and Michael Kostigen taking the 25th spot in the B Division race.
