Sailing Set To Begin Fall 2011 Schedule On September 10th With Off-Shore, Dinghy Competition
The Massachusetts Maritime sailing program has gained national acclaim for its excellence on the water and for its accomplished leaders on land, and the Buccaneers are ready to embark on another successful journey during the Fall 2011 campaign in both off-shore and dinghy competition under the guidance of Head Coach Chuck Fontaine.
Massachusetts Maritime begins the fall season on Saturday, September 10th with competition at the Penobscot Bay Open, the Maine Maritime Philip Harman Cup and the Mount Hope Bay Invitational. The Buccaneers will also compete at the prestigious Shields Trophy, MacMillian Cup and John F. Kennedy Cup events at the United States Naval Academy as well as the Storm Trysail Invitational off the coast of Long Island. In addition, Massachusetts Maritime will host the Great Herring Pond Open over the weekend of October 15-16.
