Women's Soccer Set To Open Cabral Era September 7th As Part Of 15-Match Schedule
The Massachusetts Maritime women’s soccer team enters its fourth varsity season of competition this fall with a new face at the top, as Head Coach Ray Cabral, who guided UMass Dartmouth’s fledgling program to national prominence in the early 90’s, begins his first campaign at the helm. The Buccaneers return an experienced squad that posted the program’s highest victory total with three triumphs in 2010, and Cabral is looking to continue that positive momentum in 2011.
Massachusetts Maritime begins Cabral’s first season on Wednesday, September 7th when the Buccaneers entertain Becker at Clean Harbors Stadium at 7:00 p.m., the first of eight home contests as part of a 15-match season schedule. Cabral’s crew opens MASCAC play on Saturday, September 17th by hosting Framingham State, as Massachusetts Maritime will also host Westfield State, Fitchburg State and Salem State in conference action this fall.
