Softball's Regular Season Ends with Sweep at Hands of Lancers
WORCESTER, Mass -- The Bucs softball team, looking to punch their MASCAC postseason ticket, took on Worcester State on the road on Thursday in their last two regular-season games in 2025. Maritime went on to lose both games by run rule, 10-1 and 12-0, and now need some help from the other teams in the conference to play in next week's MASCAC tournament.

How It Happened
The Buccaneers scored first in the top of the first inning on a Patane single to right. Booker came in to score on the play, and Holler was cut down at home trying to bring in a second run. The Bucs led, 1-0, after one.
Maritime held the lead until the bottom of the third inning when the Lancers tied the game at 1-1 on a Lapoint double that scored Lanpher.
Worcester went on to score two in the bottom of the fourth on a two-RBI double from Brouillard. The Lancers led 3-1 after four.
In the fifth, Worcester extended the lead to three runs, 4-1, on a Gasbarro triple, scoring Keefe.
The Lancers put the game away in the bottom of the sixth inning, scoring six times. The host took game one, 10-1 over the Bucs.
