Women's Lacrosse Meets Bournedale Elementary School Pen Pals During Luncheon

On May 19th, first and second grade students at the Bournedale Elementary School got the chance to meet the members of the Massachusetts Maritime Women’s Lacrosse team for the first time after interacting with the Buccaneers as player Pen Pals.
The students of Bournedale Elementary have been writing weekly letters to team members throughout the 2011 spring season. The pen pals enjoyed an outdoor pizza luncheon, during which time they mingled and spent time in a face-to-face setting to know each other.
After lunch, the BES students received personalized lacrosse instruction from their Massachusetts Maritime Pen Pals and enjoyed a great afternoon. This much anticipated event was a huge success that will be remembered by both the Bournedale students and Buccaneer student-athletes for years to come!
