Bucs Come up Short Against Raiders and Chargers

NEW LONDON, N.H. -- The Buccaneers volleyball team traveled to New Hampshire on Saturday to play Rivier and Colby-Sawyer in a non-conference tri-match. Maritime dropped both matches in straight sets.

 

Match One

The Basics 

Final: Raiders 3, Buccaneers 0 (25-17, 25-22, 25-9)

Records: Maritime 4-11

               Rivier 8-9

  • Lacey Turner led the Raiders with 10 kills. 
  • Lily Seibel had a match-high 31 assists. 
  • Three players tied in the aces category with two.
  • Defensively, Seibel had 17 digs in the win.
  • At the net, Annabelle Lozzi had two solo blocks.
  • Rivier had a 0.200 hitting percentage and 54 points.

Final: Chargers 3, Buccaneers 0 (25-23, 25-17, 25-19)

Records: Maritime 4-12

               Colby-Sawyer 7-8

 

Inside The Numbers

Maritime

  • Shayla Narodowg led the Buccaneers with eight kills. 
  • Madeleine Salinas had nine assists in the loss, and Narodowg added eight. 
  • On the serve, Narodowg had a match-high five aces.
  • Defensively, Narodowg led the team with 19 digs, and Holly Sanders had 18.
  • At the net, Natalie Gale had a match-high four block assists, and Maliah Servino posted three.
  • Maritime posted a 0.016 hitting percentage and scored 35 points.

Colby-Sawyer

  • Kamryn Brakemeier had a match-high 17 kills, and Addison Sasnett had 11. 
  • Bree Bacon had 30 assists in the win.
  • Two players had two aces for the Chargers. 
  • Defensively, Sasnett had a match-high 20 digs. Bacon had 15 of her own, and Madison Sinatro and Jules Larock each had 14.
  • At the net, Brakemeier had three block assists.
  • Colby-Sawyer had a 0.123 hitting percentage and scored 53 points.

 

What's Next

The Buccaneers are off until Saturday, October 11th, when they will take on Anna Maria in conference play at home at noon.
