Narodowg and Sanders Named to All-MASCAC Second Team

WESTFIELD, Mass -- Wednesday afternoon, the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) announced its 2025 Women's Volleyball All-Conference teams with two representatives from the Buccaneers, Senior captain Shayla Narodowg and freshman Holly Sanders.

For Narodowg, this is her second consecutive appearance on the All-MASCAC second team. In 2025, she arguably had her best season in a Buccaneer uniform. She posted 250 kills and 77 service aces, both career-highs, while also tallying 256 assists. Though not a career-high, her 256 assists pushed her over the 1,000 career assist mark, becoming the first player in program history to achieve the milestone. She amassed 208 digs on the year with 23 blocks and a career-high 342.5 points scored, leading the Bucs. Shayla finishes her career with the Buccaneers first all-time in a handful of categories, including kills, assists, service aces, points, and points per set.

Sanders had an outstanding freshman campaign for the Buccaneers. Her 577 digs led Maritime and the entire MASCAC. She became the first player in program history to have 500 digs in a season and was the first in the MASCAC since 2023. Her dig numbers also helped her earn MASCAC Defensive Player of the Week five times this season. To go along with her digs, Holly had 25 kills, 89 assists, 48 service aces, and 73 points scored on the season. Her 6.63 digs per set is also a single-season record for the Buccaneers and led the MASCAC.
