FITCHBURG, Mass -- Volleyball traveled to Fitchburg on Wednesday to take on Fitchburg State in conference play. After taking the first two sets, the Bucs lost sets three and four. In the fifth set, typically only to 15 points, the teams went way over that total with both teams desperately wanting the conference victory. In the end, the Falcons took the fifth and final set, 27-25.

• Shayla Narodowg led all players with 18 kills in the match. Ashleigh Catlett added 10 kills of her own. 
• Erin Donlan posted a career and match-high 33 assists in the loss. 
• On the serve, Narodowg had a match-high seven aces.
• Defensively, Holly Sanders notched a career and match-high 53 digs. Donlan had 23 digs, and Catlett had 21.
• At the net, Sydney McCarthy had a match-high three solo blocks. Natalie Gale added two solo and one block assist.
• The Bucs posted a 0.050 hitting percentage and 64 points.

Fitchburg

• Stephanie Sardella had a team-high 17 kills. Samantha Azzari had 14 of her own.
• Madison Keohane had 29 assists to lead the Falcons, and Mia Vestal had 21.
• On the serve, Sardella had six aces in the win.
• Defensively, Sardella posted 30 digs, Maribelis Alcantara had 29, and Sydney Nortelus racked up 20.
• At the net, Gabrielle Griffither and Gwynneth Norman each had a solo block, Diana Sosa-Martinez had two block assists.
• Fitchburg posted a 0.079 hitting percentage and scored 78 points.
