Bucs Claim First Conference Win in Straight Sets over AMCATS

BUZZARDS BAY, Mass -- The Buccaneers volleyball team hosted Anna Maria Saturday in conference play inside the Clean Harbors Athletic Center. When it was all said and done, the Bucs claimed their first conference win of 2025 and surpassed their win total from 2024.

 

The Basics

Final: Buccaneers 3, AMCATS 0 (25-14, 25-17, 25-19)

Records: Maritime 5-12 (1-2)

               Anna Maria 3-12 (0-4)

 

Inside The Numbers

Maritime

  • Maliah Servino and Shayla Narodowg each had a match-high 12 kills in the win.
  • Madeleine Salinas had a match-high 16 assists, Narodowg added nine.
  • Narodowg also had a match-high four aces. 
  • Defensively, Holly Sanders had a match-high 33 digs. 
  • At the net, Chloe Johnson recorded two solo blocks and two block assists. Servino had one of each.
  • The Bucs hit at a .216 clip and scored 53 points.

Anna Maria

  • Lauren Decoteau, Vanessa Guimaraes, and Rilie Mendoza each had five kills to lead AMC. 
  • Gia Hall has a team-high nine assists and led the team in aces with three.
  • Defensively, Hall had 12 digs, and Ella Moon recorded 11.
  • At the net, Decoteau had two solo blocks.
  • Anna Maria had a 0.020 hitting percentage and 29 points.
