The second inning was scoreless, and in the bottom of the third, Kaczynski hit his second home run of the day to give the Buccaneers a 5-0 lead after three.

In the top of the sixth, the Chargers scored one run back on another Maritime miscue, and the lead for the Buccaneers was back to two runs, 9-7. Maritime added insurance in the bottom of the sixth thanks to a wild pitch and a Bouffard bases-loaded walk. The Bucs led 11-7 after six.

In the top of the seventh, with one out, the Chargers' McLeer hit a double to right center field that was unseen by the Buccaneers outfield. The fog had rolled in, and though the Chargers scored one more run, the game was ultimately called due to fog with one out in the top of the seventh.
