Kaczynski Earns MASCAC Player of the Year Honor
WESTFIELD, Mass -- Nate Kaczynski joined the Buccaneers for the 2026 season after transferring from Moorpark College in California. On Wednesday, he was named the MASCAC Baseball Player of the Year after dominating at the plate for Maritime this season.
The Buccaneers centerfielder played in 38 games this season for Mike Kelley. He batted .485 on the year with 64 hits, eight doubles, two triples, eight home runs, 34 RBI, 23 walks, and four stolen bases. He only struck out 13 times in 158 plate appearances. NAte led the Buccaneers in home runs and batting average, and was tied for the team lead in doubles. At the conference level, Kaczynski led the league in average and was second in RBI and home runs.
Kaczynski helped the Buccaneers to a 20-win season and an appearance in the MASCAC Playoffs.
